February 25, 2008 Just wanted to let everyone know that the Patrick's are doing great. My family and I spent a few days with them at their house. They have everything at their fingertips. Their house is perfect for them and their health is good. Pastor just had 2 shots for his back and he is feeling much better. They are planning to give him several more shots. I know that they are thankful for your prayers. Thank You, November 3, 2007 Dear loved ones, We are beginning to understand what Paul meant when he wrote the churches and said they were continually on his mind and in his prayers. You all have been continually on our minds and in our prayers. When we are in the services down here, we are praying for you all during your services, that God will richly bless you. A lot of times we find ourselves visualizing you in your seats where you usually sit and ask the Lord to bless each of you by name. We are enjoying the church down here, but it is not like back home. It is great to be with our children again and celebrate the birthdays and special days with them. We have gone to the soccer games and the football games and enjoy sitting with the family. Soon basketball season will be starting and several of our grandchildren will be playing in them. My back is getting worse, and I would never be able to stand long enough to bring a sermon. My first interview with a back surgeon will be December 18. With pain pills I can walk a short distance so I make the best of it. We are enjoying ourselves down here and are happy with the house that the Lord has given us. If we only had all of you down here everything would be perfect. The last of
October we visited Rudy’s folks in Thank you for all
you love, your cards and your prayers.
We appreciate them so much. Keep
up the good work there in All our love, Pastor and Ruby October 3, 2007 Dear Folks, Just a note to let you know we are still homesick. The people down here are all nice, and they are friendly, but it’s not like back home. We are pretty well settled and know our way around the city pretty well. Almost every day one of the children will drop by just to see how things are going. If they don’t drop by, at least they will call. This seems so strange to us since while we were in Campbell we only saw them a couple times a year and maybe we heard from them about once a month. If it were for not missing you people we would be having the time of our lives. We are keeping busy with the children, the sports, the church activities and just driving around looking at the historical sites of the area. I will have my first appointment with the spine specialist the 19th of December. At that time we will know more what to expect. We appreciate the prayers of you people and you are continually in our minds. The picture of the church you gave us is hanging in the hallway and it is the very first thing we see as we leave our bedroom. Ruby feels she can almost open the front door of the church and walk in and be with you again. So you see, you folks are continually in our minds, our hearts and prayers. Love, Pastor and Mrs. Patrick
